AN INDEPENDENT PERSPECTIVE FOR BUSINESS LEADERS
You know your business. I’m not here to tell you how to run it.
I’m most useful when a decision deserves a second look, an idea needs shaping, a problem resists the usual answers, or you simply want to think freely with someone who has no stake in the internal decision.
I bring experience, an outside perspective, and, when useful, the ability to move with you from thinking to action.
Someone to think with, challenge assumptions, and move things forward.
LEADERS SOMETIMES NEED ROOM TO THINK
Not everything belongs in a leadership meeting.
Some questions are too early or too undefined to become a project. Others cut across several parts of the business. Some are worth testing before they’re shared more widely.
And sometimes a leader simply wants to test their thinking with someone who has no territory to defend and no solution to sell.
Dalexis Business can offer that space.
WHEN AN OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE CAN HELP
01
“I have an instinct, but not yet a plan.”
A new line of business, a shift in the business model, a service to create, or a market opportunity: we can test the idea, clarify its value, identify the open questions, and gradually build a realistic path forward.
02
“I’m facing a consequential decision, and I want to test it before I commit.”
We revisit the assumptions, look beyond the hoped-for outcome, identify what may have been overlooked, and weigh the options before you decide.
03
“The problem crosses several functions, and everyone sees only part of it.”
Sales, finance, technology, operations, legal, people: some situations are difficult precisely because no single specialty covers them. I can bring the different parts into focus while keeping sight of the whole.
04
“An important matter doesn’t really belong to anyone in the organization.”
Sometimes an idea needs exploring, a cross-functional initiative needs moving forward, or an unusual situation needs attention before it makes sense to form a team or create a new role. I can take it on, give it structure, and help it reach a point where the organization can naturally take over.
05
“I want to explore change without chasing the latest trend.”
Innovation, digital tools, artificial intelligence, new models, or new ways of working: start with the problem the business is actually trying to solve, then ask whether technology or innovation can help — not the other way around.
A CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE
A better answer sometimes starts with a question no one was asking.
Experience helps us recognize familiar situations. It can also hold us back if we keep reaching for answers that worked before.
Working across industries, professions, technologies, countries, and company cultures has taught me to carry ideas from one world to another — and not to dismiss an option simply because it falls outside familiar practice.
That doesn’t mean being different for its own sake. Often the familiar solution is the right one.
But when a problem resists the usual answers, it can help to question the frame itself: look at the matter differently, revisit the assumptions, and consider possibilities that weren’t on the table at first.
Looking at a matter outside its usual frame can sometimes confirm the approach you’ve chosen — and sometimes reveal a better one.
My career has included roles that may seem far apart: audit and risk analysis on one side, innovation and the development of new businesses on the other.
I see a common thread. Both require looking past what seems obvious. Spotting a risk the organization has missed, or imagining an opportunity it hasn’t considered, often starts by seeing things from another angle.
Within any organization, there are necessarily constraints, habits, and relationships to navigate.
An outside perspective comes with a different kind of freedom: the freedom to explore an idea without defending a territory, a method, or an earlier decision.
FROM THINKING TO ACTION
Think it through with you. Then roll up my sleeves when it’s time.
Many matters begin with a conversation, an analysis, or a few questions.
Sometimes that’s enough.
But once a decision is made, I can also help put it into practice: explore an option in more depth, gather information, prepare for a negotiation, meet with a partner, shape a project, find the right expertise, or coordinate the first steps.
Thinking and doing aren’t separate jobs when the goal is to move a matter forward.
WORKING WITH THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW
I don’t need to be an expert in everything to be useful.
Your business already has expertise: its people, accountants, attorneys, technology partners, and specialist advisers.
I’m not here to replace them.
My role may be to ask the right questions, bring different specialists into conversation, spot what’s missing, test assumptions, and keep the whole picture in view as you decide.
And when outside expertise is needed, I can help identify and bring in the right person.
FRANCE · INTERNATIONAL
Speaking the same language doesn’t mean working in the same world.
International relationships involve more than translation. Business customs, negotiation styles, legal frameworks, and attitudes toward time, risk, and commitment can differ.
I’ve spent many years working internationally and am equally at ease in French and English. I can help prepare for or take part in discussions, make sense of unfamiliar situations, and connect the people involved.
It’s less about translating a language than bridging two different environments.
A DIFFERENT WAY TO CONTRIBUTE
Any engagement should have a reason to exist.
I don’t arrive with a method to impose on your business or a team to keep busy.
Nor am I looking to replace your people or your specialist advisers.
Dalexis Business is useful when an outside perspective, experience, independence, or the ability to connect different parts of a matter can genuinely help the person leading the business.
We might work together for a few hours, through several weeks of a project, or on a more regular basis.
The scope depends on the matter and the value I can actually bring to it.
LEADER TO LEADER
You always know who you’re working with.
You work directly with me, from our first conversation through the end of the engagement.
My career has taken me through large organizations and smaller businesses, working on strategy, innovation, technology, transformation, and company leadership in France and internationally.
That background isn’t a list of specialties. More importantly, it has taught me to shift perspectives, work with people whose expertise is very different from mine, and see a decision as a whole.
Depending on the matter, I can be the person you test your thinking with, the one who helps move things forward — or both.
Independence · Candor · Discretion · Confidentiality
SOMETHING TO THINK THROUGH?
Let’s start by putting it on the table.
You don’t need to prepare a detailed brief.
An initial conversation will help us understand the matter, what’s at stake, and whether I can make a useful contribution — and in what form.
